HIT Group and ECoC hand in hand
HIT Group is actively participating in the European Capital of Culture 2025 (ECoC) not only as the leading provider of hotel and conference services in the western part of our country but also as a creator of a diverse range of tourist experiences. This year, these experiences will be further enriched with culture-infused content, aligning with the spirit of this grand event.
The grand opening
Hit d.d. from Nova Gorica and the Go!2025 Institute have joined forces to offer visitors of the ECoC an opportunity to explore the cultural heritage of both Goricas. As a key tourism provider, HIT Group has been involved with the project from the very beginning. In 2025, they are further tailoring their hotel and conference services to meet the needs of guests drawn to the region by the ECoC program. Beyond hospitality, the group is enhancing its role by creating experiences that not only immerse visitors in the local culture but also leave a lasting gastronomic impression long after the event has ended.
HIT's culinary team ensured that guests at the grand opening were treated to a refined dining experience.
We at Hit Alpinea from Kranjska Gora also proudly joined this celebration as a catering service provider. Teaming up with our parent company, Hit d.d. from Nova Gorica, we combined the expertise of both culinary teams to deliver a top-tier catering experience at the official evening reception in the Municipal Hall of Nova Gorica. Our carefully curated menu (discover it here) paid tribute to the local gastronomy, featuring special Goriška delicacies created by Chef Matjaž Šinigoj from HIT’s Perla Hotel. Designed in honor of Nova Gorica’s 70th anniversary, these dishes were presented to over 600 distinguished guests from across Europe, offering them an authentic taste of our region’s rich culinary heritage.
HIT’s CEO, Mag. Sandi Brataševec, emphasized:
"Our involvement in the European Capital of Culture project represents an important step in realizing HIT Group’s strategy for sustainable growth and internationalization. Cross-border collaborations, support for socially responsible initiatives, efforts to create a dynamic and entertaining destination, and strengthening its global recognition are our shared goals. Through them, we contribute to the sustainable development of the wider region in which we operate."
