Kranjska Gora, 12. 11. 2021, Ski Foxes, the first guests of Hit Alpinea hotels in 2021

The 57th Golden Fox will once again take place in Kranjska Gora this year due to a lack of snow on Pohorje. As in previous years, the majority of accommodations will be provided by Hit Alpinea hotels, which have a long-standing partnership with the event organizers. While the organizational procedures are well-established, this year’s event is unique due to anti-COVID measures. In December, during the competitions in Planica, a working method for these exceptional circumstances was successfully implemented and will be applied again for this event.

"We are delighted to contribute to the successful organization of the 57th Golden Fox and ensure the well-being of everyone involved in the competition. While rapid preparations and the reactivation of currently closed hotels were necessary, our experience from last year and the December event in Planica allowed us to establish everything required for the smooth reception of the first competitors much more efficiently, in full compliance with all prescribed measures," said Milan Sajovic, Director of Hit Alpinea.

A total of 17 teams will be accommodated in Hit Alpinea hotels, distributed across two hotels, while the third bubble will host technical service workers. They will be supported by 80 employees who have already begun preparations for the guests' arrival.

Unfortunately, this year’s competition will once again take place without spectators, and the hotels will not yet be open to everyone wishing to spend a few days in the snow. However, reservations for the coming months are already being accepted. At the same time, they continue to offer takeaway food and drinks at Oštarija and Kavka in Planica. They hope that soon, while adhering to appropriate health and safety measures to prevent infections, they will be able to welcome other guests as well.
