Kranjska Gora, 9. 12. 2020, Hit Alpinea hotels opens the doors during the competitions in Planica
During the Ski Flying World Championships in Planica, Hit Alpinea is hosting all competing teams and accompanying staff in three hotels in Kranjska Gora. Special hygiene and safety protocols have been implemented to protect the health of both participants and employees. This time, ski jumpers have Kranjska Gora and Planica entirely to themselves, as the championship will take place without spectators.
Kranjska Gora, which was covered with an additional 70 cm of fresh snow today, showcases its readiness for the winter season. Unfortunately, the situation is far from what organizers of the biggest celebration of ski jumping are accustomed to. Nevertheless, Hit Alpinea, the largest hotel company in the region, is pleased to have met all the necessary requirements set by the organizers and to have arranged accommodations for everyone involved in making the World Championships possible over the coming days – from athletes, coaches, and technical and organizational teams to both foreign and Slovenian journalists and other supporting personnel.
Hit Alpinea, which ceased hotel operations on October 24, has thoroughly prepared for the arrival of championship participants. "The delegations of athletes and this major international sporting event represent an exception that allows us to briefly reopen our hotels. We are proud and delighted to contribute to the execution of Slovenia’s largest sporting event during these extraordinary times," said Milan Sajovic, Director of Hit Alpinea.
