Mastercard: hospitality that soars

The final of the Ski Flying World Cup in Planica this year was more than just a sporting event. It was an explosion of cheering, connection, and flavor. A true experience, elevated by Domen Prevc's record-breaking flight—and enriched by our exceptional culinary offering across all three of our hotels. We were honored to host this year's proud sponsor, Mastercard, and their guests, who enjoyed a vibrant program during their stay in Kranjska Gora: from cheering on the Slovenian eagles beneath the giant Planica hill to attending lectures, presentations, networking events, and lively evening celebrations in the Ramada Resort event spaces.

While the days were packed with activities, we made sure no one went hungry or thirsty. From refreshing drinks and morning bites to warm evening meals, we offered a wide range of flavors at every step of the way—always with an emphasis on quality, taste, and a touch of local charm. The menu featured Slovenian classics like ham in pastry, Primorska-style fuži pasta, Idrija žlikrofi, and matevž, as well as Krškopolje pulled pork and hearty barley risotto (ričota)—all of which impressed our international guests. And to finish with a sweet touch, we added some European culinary flair: apple tarte tatin, chocolate cake with tonka bean brûlée, and a Gianduja mousse with caramelized coffee.

But the star of the Mastercard weekend—for many, especially in the mornings—was our house coffee blend. A cup of this carefully selected and expertly crafted brew, developed under the guidance of our head of F&B, became a loyal companion to every part of the day: from morning briefings and afternoon talks to evening social smiles. Some guests needed it after a long night of celebrating, while others simply enjoyed it as the perfect pairing to their discussions. A thousand stories, one coffee, one Hit!

We’re proud to say that, just like the Prevc brothers, our hospitality knows how to soar—with forks, smiles, and a warm cup of coffee in hand.
